Call for Collaborative Open Research Data Infrastructure Projects
Want to learn how to increase the visibility, reuse and impact of your research? We created an interactive training that will step you through the aspects of Research Data Management (RDM), based on the FAIR principles (to make data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable).
Call for Collaborative Open Research Data Infrastructure Projects
This call invites projects of up to two years to develop software and data infrastructure contributing to a collaborative open research data ecosystem in Switzerland. The SDSC will contribute in-kind expertise in ORD, research data management, software engineering, knowledge modeling, semantic technologies, and deployment and optimization of ML system implementation, including LLMs.
We seek projects that will develop sustainable and reusable data and software infrastructure with strong scientific and societal impact. We aim to enhance Swiss ORD infrastructure across multiple dimensions, including managing sensitive data, ensuring FAIR data governance, enabling interoperability through standardized tools, interfaces, and connectors for data and software exchange, modeling and integrating metadata, building infrastructure to transition production-ready research prototypes to operational systems, and leveraging and extending the SDSC Renku platform to enhance the ORD practices of research groups and communities.
We particularly welcome projects that connect existing ORD infrastructure components or initiatives, promoting a more integrated research data ecosystem.
